Installing IDE Harddrive

I currently have 2 250GB SATA discs that are getting quite full. I want to add a 3rd drive to my system but I've no more SATA connectors, MB only has 2, so IDE is what it will have to be. Is just simply a matter of connecting the harddrive to the IDE 1 connector and sticking in the power?? Or is there some other configuration required so that my SATA Raid setup is not destroyed?

    Thanks

I've always steered clear of RAID because i don't fully understand it and it makes no sense to me to bother with it,

but i would imagine that adding your new drive will not interfear with it in any way.

you wouldn't go the external route and just plug it in via USB or FireWre?

Should be fine - Your M/Board will look to SATA before IDE for a bootable disk.

I considered it until I saw the price difference, plus it would add even more clutter to my desk!

Why not just add a sata controller card to the pci slot and add sata drives instead?
