Can anyone recommend a good data warehousing book, that talks about the concepts, what's out there today, future, techniques, etc..

    I wouldn't say that I was a beginner.
I've worked on certain aspects for over 3 years ... but by no means a expert.
I want to get a good grasp of that whole area.
I've dealt mainly with Oracle db.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    Jason.

There are 4 books that together cover the subject completely. These are:
    • "Building the Data Warehouse" by W. H. Inmon
    • "The Data Warehouse Toolkit" by Ralph Kimball
    • "Data Warehouse from Architecture to Implementation" by Barry Devlin
    • "Data Warehousing in the Real World" by Sam Anahory and Dennis Murray

If you want to go with one, I'd say Barry Devlin's is probably the one to get (he's Irish too, so you can happily be biased about this one).
