If anyone bought this month's Empire and read the trivia book, you might have seen this. The ChildCare Action Project Ministry (www.capalert.com)
It basically reviews films, but rates them according to biblical criteria. A movie starts with a score of 100 (perfect score, not a line that could offend someone) and is negatively marked. The categories are : 'Wanton Violence & Crime', 'Impunity/Hate', 'Sex/Homosexuality', 'Drugs/Alcohol', 'Offence To God' and 'Murder/Suicide'. (Which is cleverly abreviated 'WISDOM')
It's fun, looking up your favourite offensive films. It even provides a list of every little indiscretion. Here's a link to the Sin City review, which scored 0! The only film to score a perfect 100 was Mary Poppins.

It doesn't seem like the most updated site in the world so you might get bored after a while, but worth a look!

I'm always surprised that this site isn't better known...

I read about it first back in college, around 2000. The nerd newsletter, www.ntk.net, used to run film reviews and, with each review, they'd print a brief synopsis off the CAP website. Always fun to see just how offensive your favourite movie was.

Favourite category is the Offense to God category where a movie is ranked on how badly it goes against Bible teachings. Even "The Passion of the Christ" suffers here. It's great to see the right-wing propaganda here (see the linked article for "Brokeback Mountain" for example).

Their clinical definitions and terms for their sexuality/homosexuality scale is great too - a fun read for all...

The only film to score a perfect 100 was Mary Poppins.
How did it manage that? The character clearly uses witchcraft throughout the entire film.

AND! "Spoonful of sugar" meant "crack", that would mean the song wouldn't actually make sense... but that's because they were on freakin CRACK!

I couldn't find any review of "Jenna Does Brianna" on it... what gives? :(
