    Dont see why they are making 2 sequels to this .
    The first one was very poor.
    Very strange lineup of big films this summer
    4 Big Ones in May
    MI 3
    X Men 3
    Poisedon
    The Da Vinci Code
    Nothing at all in June .
    2 in July
    Superman Returns
    Pirates of the Caribbean 2
    and
    1 kinda blockbuster in August
    Miami Vice
    Thats four sequels, two remakes and one best-selling book.
    May is jam packed but after that its very bare indeed.
    I never knew May was summer !

    Personally, I disagree with you - I thought the first one was a near-perfect adventure movie. And, judging by the numbers, I'm not alone.

    For the record, Poseidon opens on June 2nd in Ireland.
    June also has (again, for Ireland):
    * Omen 666
    * Flight 93
    * Ultraviolet
    2 in July
    Superman Returns
    Pirates of the Caribbean 2
    Let's not forget Pixar's Cars!
    1 kinda blockbuster in August
    Miami Vice
    The Ant Bully
    Monster House
    The Lady in the Water
    A Scanner Darkly
    (also two comedies with big-name stars threatening to push them into "event" movies: Nacho Libre and My Super Ex-Girlfriend)

    If it didn't have Johnny Depp playing Jack Sparrow, I really can't see it being as successful as it was. He made that movie what it was.

    Offtopic, but this is pretty funny.

    I also disagree. The first movie had everything you want in an adventure movie and Johnny Depp played one of the best characters to brace a cinema screen in recent times. It had action, comedy and great special effects. I cant wait for the new movie. Its the one im looking forward to most this summer.

    I presume you mean United 93 ;Flight 93 is the TV Movie.
    I've already seen Ultraviolet,its a shambolic mess.

    Erk. Yes, I did mean United 93.

    And if you're looking for quality summmer blockbusters, then I'm afraid your list will be even shorter :)

    I loved the first one as much as anyone but I have to agree that Johnny Depp made it. Without him did it really have anything that special? Provided that second time round his character works as well it should be worth watching.
