Does anyone have experience getting the visa for travelling to china?
im going at the end of June for at least six months, but i dont think they give out tourist visas for that amount of time, do they? what are my options?
i might be getting a job over there but i can sort out that if and when i decide.
any help would be greatly appreciated...

you have to bring your passport down to the embassy no matter which visa you want.
I think the max is 90 days, however you may be able to get around this with a multiple entry visa.

You need passport photos and will have to leave your passport with them for a couple of days.

    thanks for the above....
but on the application form, it requires you to write what date im going home on...how will i get around this? i dont think they require to see the return ticket so maybe i could keep the date within 90 day limit? anyone know does this work?
