I may as well get this started :)

    2:30 Lingfield.

While it is a very short price at 4/6, Arm Candy has got to be the nap of the day for me in this 3 runner race. While it did not do so well on its last outing, it may have been a little over its depth in a CL1 race, and takes the drop back to CL3 today. The trainer, Toller, is in better form than the other two at the moment, and they have booked Munro for the ride, who is also boasting a better record here than the other two jockeys. Although the horse has the top official rating of the three at 91, the RP were correct in pushing this figure up in their own ratings to 101, well ahead of the rest. If this were a handicap race, the horse would be carrying more than a dozen lbs extra, but thankfully it is not, so the race should go to plan. The danger horse out of the other two is Spinning Ruby. While her form looks good, I wouldn’t worry too much, as the win was for beating ’choosy’ in a lesser CL5 race over good-soft ground. Spinning ruby is unproven on good. While De Souza has a decent record, the trainer Beckett has the weakest record out of the three. The other horse is Sensous, whose best performance to date was 2nd in a CL2 races - but in her next outing, she came 17th of 23 and was duly dropped back to this race, where I feel the opposition will still be too strong today. Both trainer & jockey have average records, but nothing stands out about this horse for me. Arm Candy will take all the beating today.

    Bet:

    2:30 Lingfield
Back Arm Candy @ 4/6 (generally available)

Assertive in the in the 3.30 Lingfield. hot race here by Lingfield standards. A case can be made for a few of these but the selection should be the one. Was off for 8 months before an encouraging effort lto where he was collered late home for second. Drop back to 6f will be ideal and should be primed for big run after race 11 days ago.

Fajr in the 4.30 at Lingfield. Progressive 4yo for G kelleway. Highly thought of by his trainer, has hinted that he expects his charge to be running in a higher grade in the futute. If this is to be true he will need to win today and i think he can. Has won on his only two visits to the track and with Frankie on board for only the second time(1/1 so far) he should go well.

I fancy Northern empire to win this one at 5/2..

I would agree that it is a wide open race butI think his form is just as good as assertives.

he appears to go well fresh (beat geroge washington 2nd & 3rd last year when both were first time out). and in my opinion would have more scope for improvement than the rest.

    3:00 Lingfield - Mostashaar

    Two very progressive animals.

    Fingersmith 19.00 Ballinrobe:
Very skinny price at about evens but should totally out class his opposition with a clear round. The Jockey (Andrew McNamara) knows him pretty well at this stage .

thats why i dont like 4/6 tips or anything like it. whats the point because even if they win you win barely anything and if they lose you lose a **** load.

You didnt have to back it though. If it's your policy to stay away from odds on shots, fair play to ya, but you should stick to it.

Sorry folks, things just did not go to plan on that one. It was one of them races where I knew how it would go after a furlong or two:(

Hi iloveireland. This was not a 'tip' as such, it was just my reading of the race. I dont think it is a good idea to be lumping on to odds-on shots. I use level stakes for most bets no matter the price. The rewards are small when the odds on horses win, but so are the losses when they lose.

I notice Garstang just won at 7/1. This horse has been tipped on here a rake of times. Never knew it was running.

I've gotten a tip for Orchard Grove each way at Ballinrobe, 7:00 this evening. It's 12/1 with William Hill. Was told that it will be quite a surprise if it's not in the first 3. If it can perform to the best of it's hurdles form it would have a chance.
