These are the worst ive ever seen, I think im going to get sick!

Only joking, these are pretty good for a beginner. I think so anyway. My fav is the dog one, pity about the lens flare in the first one. Keep it up though. What cam did you use?

indeed what cam did you use, lovely shots if its a point and click. I liked the first one, I think the hand one is a bit 'same old', i think everyone tries that shot when they get a new camera! the last is nice, theres a nice bit of movement and its a nice b and w

i like the kite one ... nice warmth about it ..... also think the cropping on the riot pic brings it the atmosphere out well .... reminds me of a movie still

the last one is good i like it

i guess like someone said flare can be a problem at times when the sun is in the frame

I agree about the first one, i like it but its a pity about the flare. That would be a great image as a complete silouhette. Whats the best way to avoid camera flare? I took a few photos myself the other evening coming down griffith avenue with the sun behind the trees and for most the flare was awful. I got a few ok ones when i upped the shutter speed but any adive on the general ru;e would be appreciated..

Thanks for the replies, I was expecting to open this thread to a grilling so that is a nice surprise. I used a Sony Cybershot DSC-P72. I thought the lens flare looked good but I'm just a beginner so there you go!!

i don't think the 2nd one is that cliched really, its saved my the extraordinary wrinkledly/roughness of the hand with does compare to tree

I think the 'Tree' shot works really well - the tones and lighting and composition. I would probably crop off about a 1/5th of the shot (on the far left hand side) and make the tree with the light coming under it as the centre of the shot.

Yeah, think you're right with the cropping. Will try it when I get home. Thanks.

Judging by your avatar I'd expect to see a blue furry hand... I don't think that's actually yours in the picture. You lie!
