Repair old video tape

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but I have an old tape (20 years) of great sentimental value that refuses to play in my VCR. It unravelled a couple of years ago and broke an older player and I would like to get it transferred to a new tape and to DVD (I'd do it myself if I could play it, but I get an error message when I try it). Can anyone recommend somewhere in Dublin where they would take extreme care with something like this? Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks.
