smarttelecom dial up?.

    hi can some help me out my brother has a pc and is trying to connect to the net using smarttelecom dial up,the bb is not available in his area with smart.
    he rang them up and the gave him a number to put in his settings to connect to the net,it seems to be dialing up put then it says username and password not verified,smart never gave him a username or password.

    anyone using smarttelecom dial if so do you have the username and password?.also whats the number you put in your settings to dial up for net access thanks.

    or do i need a special smarttelecom cd for instasllation to get dial up access?.

    I would imagine you would need a cd with settings for their email server and so on, or they would have told your friend. The username and password is probably something like "free" and "free", but best to call again and find out.

    Well you used to be able to get most of the eircom, esat/bt cds in lots of store, petrol stations and newsagents. Dont know about smart though, sorry.

    You should not need any CD's to set up a simple dial up connection, just ring them and ask for the correct settings.
