I was just trying to point out how the chap was putting all this information into our domain when trying to make a quick buck for himself and I thought the subtle approach was the right approach.

actually i dont get anything per referal. i just posted up the link the site gave me to tell friends.. I thought it was a good bargain so i put it up.. if i get anything for it i dont want it.. im not doing this for my own gain.. its just a handy thing to have....

You should have the link as just http://www.box.net then, without your referral bit, if you're not interested in any gain. Looks like an affiliate program.

I have not problem with referal links as long as it made known along with the link. Otherwise it looks a bit suspect. It's not against the law to make a few bob and most people wouldn't mind if they want to sign up anyway.
