I have the PVR150 from hauppage - I cant get the fecker to be recognised by Windows MCE - the only driver ive been able to use with it says its a 16 driver none of the latest hauppage drivers seem to work

Also WINtv2000 is a pain to get going as well - using svideo in - dont really want a full pvr just simple recording package - anyone know of one out there and has anyone else had problem with this card

    Cheers

id say its the non mce version - GBPVR seem to recognise it as a Pvr 250 for some reason

    Did you get this sorted?

I got a WinTV PVR USB2 and had the same problem. You need to uninstall everything.. and go to this link for the MCE drivers. below.

MCE is a way better than WinTV2000.

MCE is a way better than WinTV2000.

It would want to be for the difference in price! Although they are very different packages.

@Wolff, follow the insructions on hauppage's website, be sure to use HC Clear to remove the remants of old drivers. When you say MCE doesnt recongnoise it, do you mean the OS or the application? If WinTV2000 is having issues, it sounds like the drivers arent working so well.

If you are just looking to capture video you could use virtualdub.
