playing .50/1 and some guy from mid position, after 2 limpers goes all in for $96. its folded around he picks up $3.50 and shows AA... i type in the chat box 'bit of an over-raise?' and he replies...

"i know i'm not good enough to get away from AA on any flop, i'm also happy to take 3.50 and if someone calls me i'll be favourite"

i cant decide if this is a good play as he knows he might struggle to get away from AA or a terrible play as he made very little with a premium hand?

    any thoughts?

If ppl call, then its wonderful.
If nobody ever calls, then its pretty sucky.

If he ever raises normally - you can go all-in and you know that he doesnt have AA.

However - if he gets callers, reasonably regularly, then its a magnificent play

At 5c/10c or 10c/20c tables, pushing is normally the correct option, unless you are top stack. At higher tables, I dunno.....

I always figured if a player is aware that he cant fold AA after the flop, then he MUST be capable of folding AA after the flop. does that make any sense at all :p

showing AA and explaining why afterwards is just stupid
