Do i need DVI on a monitor

    Looking at getting a new 17" lcd. Work from home a lot so general usage, web browsing, picture editing, small amount of gaming not the primary focus. Would like to be able to get a tv tuner at some stage .

    My question is, do i need a DVI connection, what will it give me.

    At the moment i'm looking at something like this http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=313529

    No need for speakers or anything to fancy.

    Any suggestions or recommendations appreciated.
