regarding soccer

They won’t let me onto the soccer forum. So I have to post this on here. As a friend of mine said about soccer. “An English club, in the middle of an English city, 90% of the players are Africans or eastern Europeans and some idiot in Ireland uses the word “us” when he is talking about them.”

No point, just general sports talk. Particularly clear when "we" won the match and "they" lost it. People like to associate themselves with the team they support when it's going great.

Why Irish people support foreign soccer teams is beyond me. Sure if you lived in the city for a while or have some sort of personal connection...

GAA games are much better! When you are supporting your own county/town/parish.

GAA has cheaper jerseys too. And they don't change them every season to get more moeny...
