    3/6 6-max Party
    Table has drifted to 3-handed.
Hero has 1600 on the button
Villain has 2k, in the sb

Hero has shown down nothing but quality, and hasnt been out of line at all. This is heros first button at 3-handed.

    Preflop
Hero opens to 21 on the button. I cant even remember my cards, but they dont matter, because I didnt even hit a pair or a draw.

    Flop (48)
    Ac Qd 4c
check, 40, call ... ok, so a draw or an a pair, maybe both

    Turn (128)
    2s
check, 100, call ... hmm, ok, so looks more like an ace now I guess, sh1t.

    River (328)
some random low offsuit card that I cant remember actually maybe the turn was 7s and river was 2d or something innocuous like that.

villain leads for 86 .... I put him on a weak Ace, and make it 500 to go.

    Our survey says ????

    Edit: added the river bit.

The only way villain folds if he was pure bull5hittin too !
Your calls on the flop n turn look weeeaak !
    I wouldn't lay down a weak A here - but that doesn't say much :o

You do mean his bets right, Fuzzbox is dictating things here.

His lead on the river is weak I say he puts you on a medium pp.
He probably second guessed himself on the end with the overbet and 4 bullets but I still imagine he called with a pair of queens.

    BTW what was the river.

Whatever about this hand all I can hear in my head is that song and the synchronised ladies in the video. Between that and the 'ehh ehhhh' noise from Family Fortunes my head is really annoyed.

    Thanks Fuzz.......

What hands would you normally play like this Fuzz, lets say AK in this situation.

Im potting the flop and then betting 1/2 - 3/4 pot on turn and river to to give an impression I want a call, like i had a hand :)

Is there some confusion over the action?

    Flop (48)
    Villain checked, I bet 40

    Turn (128)
    Villain checked, I bet 100

    River (328)
Villain led for 86 (or something like it), I made it 500 to play

So, Samba - I bet 80% of pot on flop, 80% of pot on turn, and raised to 80% of pot on the river.

I would play AK, AQ, AA, QQ, 44, some other set, any two pair, the same way.

That was my only mission ... the rest of the post is a total smokescreen ;)

surely u just call the river here with AK after villians lead.

    Ok, fair comment.

    Whoopsie, no confusion, just laziness.

If that's how you play your hands, then your story should make sense to a reasonably skilled villain.

Villain has club draw that picked up a pair along the way. Club draw misses.
I think Hero raised to much on river, I prefer a value raise like you want to get paid off instead of an 80% pot raise.

Fuzzbox you have lost loads of money in this play, still i love these threads nearly enough to start the fuzz is better than Phil fan club:D

    And our survey says ...

Villain folded ...... ok ok - he ran his timer down to 1 second, and finally called with AsTs ..... and I needed to shower with a brillo pad.

I think 350 on the river might be better .... but hmmmm, maybe just check the turn and give it up. Ho hum.
