Has anyone else experienced driving instructors that weren't great or gave bad advice? Which companies?

What kind of bad advice have you received?

Given that not only can you instruct people without qualifying as an instructor, but that even an unlicensed driver could set up a driving school, it's quite likely you will get bad advice!

The only real problem I had was that my instructor made me take left hand turns too quickly. The tester pointed this out to me. Maybe because it was a sunny Friday afternoon, he still passed me though, and just told me to keep an eye on it.

That's obviously ridiculous. How else do you do a handbrake turn? :D

Maybe that's what he meant! Handy for handbraking a turn into a parallel parking space! :D
