    Darren,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

As yet we do not rent XB360 games. The games dept are looking into moving into that are towards the end of the year. We have as yet not confirmed the date but it will be heavily advetised in store when we do.

    Regards
    Ruth

Sent them an email and just got a reply. Looks like it will be another few months before we see rentals. My guess is they'll start renting the games when the ps3 comes out and rent both at the same time

That XtraVision? I was sure I saw them advertising GRAW for rental about 2 weeks ago in one of the Sunday papers, fairly large ad too.

Probably GRAW for the PS2 and original Xbox though.

i saw that ad too, it was in the star and there was a pic of the 360 game and it said you could rent it now(didnt say what format). they prob meant on ps2 but it def had a pic of the 360 box.

Usually happens when someone in the marketing department hasn't a clue what they're at.

Yep it was to xtravision and I specified xbox 360 games in my email to them.

Thank god someone else seen it, had a few 360 related dreams lately (damn you Oblivion!) but if I started dreaming about ads for games I already have...then I'd start to get worried!

I doubt it if they will. They were supposed to start rending original X-Box games and when they did, it was a very half-hearted effort. Only a few of the oldest and cr*ppiest games available to rent.

    Blockbuster own Xtravision AFAIK.

LOL its Ruth from store support! I work for xtra vision, and we arent doin rentals for a while because it just doesn't seem profitable for the company at the moment!

Also customers will wreck the discs! They are more expensive for us to buy so when we do rent them, there will be feck all copies of each game available.

    :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,204 ✭✭✭Kenny_D
