    Quick question...

I tried using avi2dvd for the first time yesterday and after selecting the avi to convert and basically going through a tutorial of the steps, it started to convert the audio to ac3, but when it started to do the video side of things, it errored out for 'no decompressor for fourcc' -

    Any ideas?

I dont use the program but at a guess it sound like the decoder isnt installed, what codec was used with the .AVI files ?

Did it give the fourcc for the .avi it could not decode as you could match it up to this list of fourcc's and then install the correct codec.

If it's an XviD encoded file try installing this and try it again.

Download GSPOT from here . Load up your avi and it will quickly tell you if you have the correct A & V codecs installed.
