I am working in the Corporate support area of IT at the moment and have about 2 years experience, now I am looking to move up to a network admin or similar position. I am planning on either going to college next year (mature student) or doing some courses(ccna and the likes).

Which would be the best option? Is it just a waste of time getting a degree? Also if I was to go to college which is the best course to do for this kind of job? And has anyone gone to do an IT degree as mature student here? What do they base your application on?

Is getting a few qualifications a waste of time?? If not, which qualifications should I go for?

Has anyone here done this? Any advice is welcome.
