has anyone ever used on of those 3g connect cards?

they seem to do pretty impressive speeds. i'm not looking to use if for everyday use.

can you use them in the same way you use a normal connection ? i am aware of the cost.

vodafone seem to push theres. but o2 not so much.

does anyone know the name of the o2 card ~?

Not sure of the o2 card. I've used vodafones 3g cards a fair bit and after they got past the initial hardware they were using (it was pants) its not too bad of a service. The speeds are not too bad will allow you to vpn into the company vpn and do some work quite happily. As for browsing speed its not too bad the experience is a bit zippier than dial up in my opinion. My one major gripe is if there is iffy coverage on the default config it will switch down to gprs losing you your connection or just killing your vpn connection.
In summary its a handy tech if your working on the road or are away from the office but not something I would recommend for extended use each day i.e. more than an hour or two.
