    Hi All,
Hope ye had a good and safe weekend.
I am working on an old IMAC kind of as a personal project. My brother in law has bet me that I can not get it working. He pointed me in the direction of the power board which may have a resistor that has gone on the high side.

The unit itself will turn on intermittently and then will shut down without warning. It is an older model probably about 3 years old. The part number on the power board is 820-1145-a. Even if someone could point me in the direction of downloading a service and repair manuel or somthing with resistor values it would be great.

It took me about 3 hours to figure out how to strip it down and would be a shame to throw in the towel now.
    Thanks to all.

Try a Google search for Apple Serivce Manuals some of them can be fairly detailed, it's worth a shot at least.

    Try here as well
