Any programs that can do this? Used Apollo DivX to DVD but this only did about half the film when ran into error, the DVD works but only has half the film as I said.

First time this has been asked!

I always use gui4ffmpeg for all my conversion needs - lightning fast, free, easy to use and converts to and from many different formats!

I use nero myself, just add the DivX file and I can create cool menus for my DVD when its used in my player and never had any trouble with it. It's easy!!

I also suggest you use Nero Recode for the conversion as its pretty much fool proof.

I used this program to convert a xvid movie to mpg. Playing that back on my PC was fine in VLC player. Then I used Apollo MPEG to DVD and when I play the DVD in my player the sound is off set, so people are still talking after their lips have stopped moving haha. Dont know whats happened.

I've seen the lip sync problem a few times too and I think it's an NTSC/PAL conversion problem. If your source was encoded as NTSC then it's frame rate is 29.97fps. If your conversion program converts that to PAL at 25fps, then depending on the program, it may just be playing it 25fps. This results in the video getting longer as there were originally more frames than are now needed. The audio is at a constant rate of say 44.1 or 48kHz so it stays constant. As a result, the audio and video gradually move out of sync as the movie plays.

I think the answer is to use a better video conversion program. Nero recode and VSO Divxtodvd have both worked for me without any sync problems.
