    Have you tried another card?
Is there an LED on the WiFi card...and does it light up at all when inserted into the PCMCIA slot?

I think what Karoma was trying to say was that just because one card does not work does not mean the slot is broken. To be sure that it is a slot and not some problem due to the wireless card drivers or what ever, try a second card and see what happens.

ok. You hadn't said that in your previous posts. Slot is more than likely not functioning. Have you tried going into Device Manager and removing the slot and then rebooting to see if it is reinstalled?

I would check the pins on the motherboard side for damage (or bent). They can get easy bent. You may need a torch to see them.

I would also update the motherboard chipset drivers.
