Well anyway, if ur using rockbox are u have much success with how that software works as an opperating system,I enjoy the WOW setting for most of my music listening on the regular firmware, is there a simillar setting in rockbox?

There's already a thread on rockbox.... somewhere here! There's no WoW on rockbox firmware because it's a trademark of SRS labs. There is a fully customisable equaliser on the rockbox firmware, which may reckon is superior to WoW, if you know how to get the bestoout of it. I don't use rockbox that much as about a third of me music collection is in WMA format . You should probably do a search over on misticriver for more info because there seems to be a lot of programmers/audiophiles/sound nerds over there!

Use it, like it, prefer it to the iRiver firmware. I don't use eqaulisers as they are just an extra battery drain without much advantage. Only gripes at the moment with rockbox is that when I skip through songs too quickly the player freezes and I'm forced to reset it. I'm using an old version of rockbox though because I haven't gotten around to updating so that may have been fixed at this stage.

Crossfading and gapless playback is what makes rockbox the choice for me.

I used it for a while, couldnt get past how ugly it looked and the lack of SRS WoW.

    Maybe its better nowadays.
