Courtown always had a bit of a rep as being a bit scumy, a place were working class dublin people came to. However its really cleaned up its image and there is a lot of different things to do now there even a lot of indoor activites. Just a shame the beacon nite club couldnt stay open

Eh yeah, hasnt changed that much in my opinion. Was down there not so long ago and it was full of scobies and after 11pm you could swear some one had moved finglas village to a beach resort in Wexford. Its a pitty because its such a nice spot.

yea I know what you mean I think that element will always be there, saving that though, saving that though if you really want to get out and do some activities there is alot to do. Also the cinema will be going up on the courtown road in Gorey

Ah its a nice place. Its a pitty the Honda Civics and basball caps make the place feel a lot less safe. Again a pity because its such a lovely spot.

I think the crazy golf course is great. I'm a scotsman whios been living here for the past 2 years and I think it's quite a nice spot, never been there at night though.

They used to have a television show on it on rte a few years back. Courtown is nice but I think its kind of getting boring at this stage.

I used to hate it a few years ago but I've been back a few times lately and it really is a pretty village. Just have to ignore all the skangers and focus on the village itself. And it has some beautiful beaches on either side of it.

as a tramore man i know exactly what ye mean lads. the beach area in tramore is really tacky and infested with dubs between june and august. place becomes a warzone after 2am at the weekends.

    lovely place otherwise!

    The cinema?

The new one is due in less than a year, I remember about Eleven years ago they showed films in the Little theatre, but it had little sucess as they were all not so recent releases.

I am afraid it does not look good, the company that was meant to run it have pulled out as there is a new one opening up in arklow, so unless Mr Brennan can find someone to run it, it will be going down the drain

Courtown is nice alright but Yes, pity about the people that hang out there! In my opinion it hasnt changed in years, was there recently and wouldnt be in a hurry to go back!

Brennan put in a new planning application for a cinema again about a month ago so there's hope for us yet.

By the way, Courtown is full of skangers in july and august so is best avoided then.
Did you see what some scumbag did to the Bayview? Doesn't like democracy of the planning process so has started bullying tactics. A real '**** you' approach.
Next will be vandalism and then it will 'mysteriously catch fire'. You can see it coming!! Watch this space.
