Congradulations to Scuttery1

    Hi all,

I just wanted to say congradulations to Scuttery1 (John Hoey) and his training partner Shane O'Neill on the achievement recently on obtaining their official instructor level in Warriors Eskrima under Guru Krishna Godhania.

Scuttery1 just mentioned it to me in passing but the mild mannered janitor was too modest to mention that this is Blackbelt level in his organisation. He also talked about how he really has to work hard now and justify it. So fair play to John and Shane, they have been training hard for "years" now, travelling to England for courses and training together in between while teaching a class in Dublin and have gone through the hardships of developing a little known art in Ireland without having the benefit of having weekly instruction themselves.

I think most people who know Scuttery1 will agree that he is a nice guy who has a real passion for what he does and who quietly works away in the background with what he loves and who also introduced some Eskrima to some of the MMA guys. He has a good training partner in Shane O'Neill and a good teacher in Guru Krishna Godhania. I had the pleasure in attending one of their seminars some time ago and found it excellent both in structure, content and athmosphere.

So well done lads and also well done to every other teacher, coach and dedicated martial artist out there who no matter who turns up for class week after week, year after year, rain or shine whether they can afford it or not to make a difference in martial arts and people's lives in general.

    I salute you :D
