A few weeks ago there was a PC on sale in Aldi that had a socket for a scart lead to connect to a pc.

Are these readily available on sale and where can you get them?

You should be able to get an S-Video or Composite to scart adaptor in any electronics/computer store, or eBay. Direct scart connection...? doubt it...

Aye, dont think there is such a thing, s-video to scart are fairly common.

The one in Aldi a while back (actually the last two I think) didn't have the scart socket... I got one of the ones last year (April I think) that did & it's the dogs... Only works one way though (in) so you can capture video but can't push it back out... handy thing to have on a PC though !

just want to expand on the last post, there have been two types of PC in Aldi recently, one around 500-600 and another at 1100.
The last two 1100's - same PC - have had the Scart and I have PC hooked up to my tv via scart.
    The socket is out only.
Your local Aldi shop can usually order in one of these PC's for a few weeks after the offer so you need to check in store.
As a matter of interest this 1100 pc is really media based as it has two digital and analog TV tuners - thats 4 all together, RF media remote, scart, s-video and component out, I use it to tape FTV digital channels and the playback is perfect

The PC imax refers to is over a year old and not the one on sale recently
