Recommend a printer?

    Any one recommend a printer for my sister who is going over to england next month to do her masters?
    Doesnt have to be top class but something she cud easily use.

    Anyone?

    Dell are selling dirt cheap one's (v basic), there is a thread in bargain alerts...

    Problem with the Dell's is the prices of the cartridges.
    The Dells are made by Lexmark who machines have the same drawback.
    And HP aren't the cheapest for consumables.

    I'd recommend buying an Epson all-in-one over there. It's big and bulky so no point buying it here. Less than £100 English quid.

    Check the particular model number before purchase with a online consumable retailer. EG www.mx2.com and www7dayshop are good
    This should give you an idea of what the originals and the compatibles are going to cost.

    The all-in-one will give you colour photocopies.
    But can be "sorer" on ink than the straightforward printer. And they are a lot fussier on what ink they like. I've seen more problems with compatible inks on allinones than with ordinary inkjet printers.
