playin cash game at my local club, £1/£2 nl holdem, id bought in for 100 quid, which was max buy in and had worked it up to about 210, the table was extemely loose, 9 players, with one complete donkey who was raising with anything, calling with anything, he had managed to gather up quite a stack and was using it.

There was a straddle in this hand so it was £5 to call right off, one caller and then villain raises pot, to £30, one caller, i look down at ak of spades, this table is totally nuts, and i mean nuts, so i reraise to £80. Folds round to villain who calls very reluctantly, other player completes to make a pot of about £240, flop comes down kd js 2s, he throws out £50, other player folds, i re-raise all in, he calls and throws over j2 off suit. Turn is a 10, river a 4. No spade.

Did i play this hand all wrong? Did i play it right? Was he lucky? Should i have re-raised. I've played plenty of cash-games online, this was my first proper real life cash game and i found it a lot more difficult, the play was so erractic it wasn't even fathomable. Any advice much appreciated.

I think you played good, he raised preflop with j2o which is stupid, and called a re-raise then got lucky with bad play. These things even out over time.

you played it perfectly. yes he is a complete luckbox. don't worry about it. it happens. you'll get it all back and more if you play enough with those type of players.

btw, that 100 quid max buyin sucks ass. stupidly low for a 1/2 game.
