Getting into Tae Kwon Do as an adult

I'm looking to take up a fitness intensive sport that isn't the gym (boring!). When I was a teenager I used to do a bit of Tae Kwon Do and really liked it.

What would it be like to get back into now at the age of 32? I'm still quiet flexible and my fitness isn't as bad as most. Any thoughts?

I'm in Dun Laoghaire. Do you know of any places to go?

Another thing I'm a bit anxious about is being stuck in a class where everyone is half my age.

Leopardstown, Bray, Mount Merrion are the only places I know out that way, under East Coast Taekwon-Do. They are a nice bunch, also they have many parents involved so you won't feel too uncomfortable.

Go for it. You'll be fine!!

I went back doing TKD at 23, having done it as a kid, and have no regrets. Loving every minute of it.

If it makes ya feel any better, we have adults in our club that are older than yourself, with the eldest being 41.

TKD is a sport for a lifetime. Start whenever.
