    Hi all.
Today I removed a file from my computer by mistake useing HijackThis, but i cannot figure out which file it was.
Now when I try to use the search facility in explorer i get the message: "A file that is required to run Search Companion cannot be found. You may need to run setup." Does this mean I have to re-install windows? Or would it be possible to download the file from microsoft??
Any help would be great. Cheers..

i'm guessing if you have the install cd for the os you can just run a repair off that or go into system restore after booting from the install cd and run chkdsk on the volume, any discrepancies should be rectified. Although, without knowing what you are missing its hard to help. Look up about what is needed to run the search function in your os and i'm sure someone here will just upload the file here for you.

    What OS is it?
