A few weeks ago I bought a FS Scaleo Desktop PC. I quite happy with its performance to date except for one thing - it reboots itself randomly. Sometimes I'm working on something, other times I'm nowhere near the computer when it happens. I've searched around the net looking for possible solutions but all in vain. A friend told me he's heard about this problem already with FS desktops and reckons that it's the motherboard.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is the a "cure"? Or do I have to replace the motherboard? I'm not worried about replacing the motherboard as the warranty will cover the cost but I could be without my PC for a few days and that would be hell:(

    Any advise?

It might be something overheating. Maybe you should clean out your pc, maybe with some a can of compressed air, though if you have it a few weeks it shouldnt be a problem. The dust could get to your CPU's heatsink and make it ineffective. Also try swapping the power supply unit with a different machine if you have one, sometimes manufacturers cut the cost by using cheap PSUs. Just a few suggestions.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I know it's not overheating. It's not dust as I've bearly had it long enough for dust to gather, even though I did check.

And it's not the power supply as it's a 350w unit which is more than enough needed.

It might be enough power, but generic power supplies are normally rubbish..which could be your problem..any idea what brand it is? No harm in switching around with a better one if you have one available.

With my dell it kept dying randomly not rebooting but thats due to a bios setting i had. they took it back and replaced the motherboard and PSU.

I knew it was a faulty PSU (from reading on the net) but they did it all anyways and thats what i'd look @ first if i was you. If its only a few weeks old call the support and send it back.

Ifyou you only bought it three weeks ago then use your guarantee as it is faulty, openeing up unit will only void your guarantee, Fujitsu engineers only take a day or so to come to your house
