Try www.travelocity.com (make sure it's .com and you pay in dollars, it works out cheaper even after you convert form Euro). I'm off in June and got the flights for €630/640 i think it was. It's an Air France flight, but worked out cheaper going through here than through Air France itself.

i like to use opodo, it sorts through over 500 airlines to find the cheapest flights. be sure and select an electronic ticketed flight otherwise it asks for a uk address
    www.opodo.co.uk
if you need to convert to euros go to
    www.xe.com/ucc/

It amazes me how much faith people have in those RIP OFF online travel agents. Shop around, I picked flights up for 700 last week in Abbey Travel on Middle abbey street. I usually use them and the deposit is only 65 euro.

Well i used one of those RIP OFF online travel agents and got flights to new york for 550 when they are 715 on aerlingus last week. And last time i went to thialand during the christmas period (tourist season) i got it for 600€ with trailfinders.

I'm aware of Opodo and have to say they are a huge rip off when compaired to the likes of ebookers.ie and cheapflights.co.uk.

Having said that the OP should of course ring around local travel agents also. But personally i'd rather give my money to an english run website

    http://flights.trailfinders.ie/Economy/Bangkok ... only 2 days left of what i dono :)

I went last year with Gulf Air. It was €660. Not bad but we had to stop in London, Bahrain and Abu Dabi!

I booked last week directly with Gulf Air. Departure middle of June.

Total incl. Taxes 588 Euro. Just play around with the dates a bit. All the Travel Agents were at least 40 Euro more expensiove for the same flights.

i bought flights london - bangkok a few weeks ago, travelling june returning august with thai airways, using lastminte.co.uk for about €600

then got a couple of cheap aer lingus flights to london separately

not sure if those flights are still there, but worth checking

lastminute, expedia and opodo generally have the exact same flights with minor price differences

while i was in thailand last year, took an internal flight from chiang mai to phuket with thai airways and they were fantastic to travel with. really good service so i imagine you would get great service on the long haul flight too

Booked a few weeks back with Etihad Airways, from London Gatwick to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi.

€597. Very friendly phone service and they'll post your tickets, you just have to ask on the phone.

Sign up as an air courier (aircourier.org - many more). I used to travel to S.E. Asia quite a bit this way and would get tickets for around €50-100 plus the joining fee which I think is around €50. Before there are any comments, it's legit!

I got the best price with Emirates.com, i am going to Australia and stopping off in Thailand for 3 weeks. The flights with emirates cost about €700 flying from Heathrow to Bangkok, via Dubai and then onto Sydney. So you should check out their prices, you might get them cheap enough. :)
