    if a domain name expired in feb'06 and status is currently redemption period how long before one could register it?

    Think theres info on this over at godaddy.com - sure I read about stuff like that there once...

    If you choose to not restore, you have to wait that the registry releases the domain name. That is to say 65 days after the expiration date (41 days for a .be, 35 days for a .name). As soon as the domain will be free for registration, the first purchaser will get the domain.
