Boards Charity Night?

Just as a taught what would people on boards think of organising some sort of charity night? Im not sure what exactly yet but something along the lines of a comedy gig/ music night or something like that. I do volunteering but have never actually organised a full night so any suggestions are welcome.

Try the Events forum as well to get feedback from a bigger boards.ie audience, but if anyone has any ideas on themes, organising, location etc. feel free to post here.
