    Hey
Im trying to set up a 30GB partition to store all my music and movies which can be read by both ubuntu and Windows XP. So far I have tried using FAT but that seems to be limited to 2GB. Is FAT 32 recognised by Ubuntu.

Also, could someone tell me the commands to mount an existing partition in ubuntu?
    Thanks a mil,
    Kev

earlier thread drivers for windows drivers to use linux partitions http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054922619

    ubuntu should see FAT32,

as for movies FAT32 has a very hard limit of 4GB

NTFS can see more and even Dos 5.0 can read NTFS using NTFSDOS ,so can linux etc.
But if you want to write to an NTFS partition you more or less need microsoft drivers.
