My Mobo

    According to PC wizard my mobo/mainboard is:

    Manufacturer : WinFast
    Product : 760GXK8MC

    Im just wondering if someone can tell me/point me all about this board? Whats the highest processor it can take? how much RAM etc. Im not too saavy when it comes to mobos and the hardware side of things...

    Its a board manufactured by Foxconn the largest motherboard manufacturer.

    It uses a SiS chipset and supports socket 754 AMD Sempron/Athlon 64 CPU's.

    Max memory supported is 2GB of DDR400 according to the specs.

    This socket 754 Athlon 64 3400+ is probably the fastest you can get and any DDR 400 will do, if you want the max get two sticks of 1GB DDR400.

    You should have got a manual with your pc regarding the mobo, normally anyway, unless its a prebuilt one.

    you know what? I pretty sure I did, my PC was a compaq presario, then i gutted it; new mobo the works. Im sure that the guy gave me a manual but I was far too exicited to pay any attention....
