I dont know but i went out when my trip jacks got rivered by a straight. 2nd time in a row in that tourney. Then lost in a live cash game for the 1st time in donkeys(fitting word) when i gambled repeatedly. Sigh.

Was that when you went all in pre-flop against the QQ? Flopped the trips of Jacks, and then rivered by the straight?

    Unlucky hand.

No. i was against AK and a J on the river gave me trips and him a straight.

On my starting table (table 5) we saw Jacks crack: Aces, Kings x 2, Queens. On one occassion before the break a short stacked player went all in, three callers, flop was JJx, someone asked him how he looked, to which he replied: 'I'm alright now' (still betting on the side!) checked to the river, he flipped the other two Jacks to sicken the solid guy who had been playing well and bided his time with the Cowboys.

I was tournament chip leader with 25 players to go (65+ started), had about 15% of chips in play at that point, played well but donked away a fair few chips with two tables to go and hit the final table shortstacked, out in 7th for double the buy-in. Shoulda done better. Willow was MASSIVE chip leader when I left, at least 40% of chips in play, probably more. Chief Brody (as Rounders123 describes him!) was also still there, as usual, after playing his typical 'bad-move-I-need-a-river-to-stay-in-the-tournament-yep-there-it-is-again' game :) Full report on blog over weekend.

Ian, which cash table were you playing on? I was there all night, still trying to figure out just who the hell you are! Started on the first feeder table around 10pm, then moved to the first table, in seat 2 until closing. +1200 for the night, so I am quite happy to be leaving on the upswing.

my stack yo-yo'd for ages until i had bout 4k after the break, and raised in late pos on a tight oassive table (ionapaul cant vouch for it!)
i had Ax . i make it 800, bb is 200, everybody folds, back to midpos limper - hms and hahs for ages, stacks up 800 and goes to put it in, i remind him its only 600 more, not 800 - to which he nearly folds again . . . eventually he calls - havnt played against him before i know he LOVES seeing a flop.
flop comes down 228 - he bets 1,000 into me, time for me to cut my loses and let him have it - then i re-consider and think he has absolutely none of that, and could likely be sitting there with KJ or KQ and i re- raise another 2,500 back to him - he says he must have a look -
    his hand is - QQ
what a terrible read by me! i know he wasnt playing me with his lack of confidence, and it was this that tru me, i actually thought Ax was good!
no ace on turn r river to sukc out on him and that was that!
prob worse move of my life! although i was right, he had none of the flop! haha

Paul, u had monster stack! suprised u dint finish higher! well done though!
