I'm not much of an old man, but love a good old pub. I really like Bowe's on Fleet St. and the ground floor of Stag's Head. Love the wooden panel interiors and leather seats. Anyone have any favorites? Would love to try out a new (old) place tonight.

    Cheers.

Oh yeah, I forgot McDaid's! That really is a good bar. Must try Bachelor Inn though.

Mulligans do a great pint. The stags used to be better pre louis Fitzgerald taking it over. A great spot is the long hall up georges st.

Kinda out of the way if you're in the city centre but The Gravediggers/Kavanaghs in Glasnevin is one of the most properest pubs around. Pighead doesn't drink the Guinness but apparently they serve a fantastic pint.

I like Kennedy's on Westland Row. Lovely pint of Guinness. But it never seems to be open on Sundays or Bank Hols which is a bit annoying. Also, to be avoided when there' a rugby game on.

The Long Hall, Anguier (sp?) St was one of my favourite proper pubs when I lived in Dublin, it is opposite Hogans.

    Grogan's, South William Street.

Love pubs with no TV and no "music".

I know of them because I spend my life avoiding them! Kehoe's on South Anne St, and then up on Baggot St there are a lot of pubs which I would consider old-man but are beloved of many 20 somethings. Doheny & Nesbitt, O'Donoghues etc.
