I'm sorry if this has been done before, I searched beforehand and nothing other than the likes of of "What is your setup?" came close (which didn't give me the info I was looking for).

As the title suggests and some of you on this board know I'm in the process of putting together a fairly decent PC. My PC will mostly be used for software development and heavy multitasking in Windows (and sometimes Linux), with a bit of gaming thrown in for good measure. I was having a look about and came across the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5000. I think this setup looks absolutely class, I especially love the illuminated and touch sensitive media controls to the left of the keyboard. However reviews have been mediocre. One of main reasons why I'm not going straight for this is that I've read that there is a bit of a lag in data transmission. This would be my first wireless setup, but I have used other people's before. I've found that some wireless keyboards are really annoying because they are nowhere near responsive enough (if the user can type or function at any decent speed at all).

Has anyone used this keyboard/mouse combo before?, is there a similar alternative, which has the decent response levels as well as the sleek (black) looks.

Thank you very much for any info you can provide.
