A girl stole a drink of them, so then went to get it back... big huge fight between the girls.

tehy all go back and the guys protect their mate... the knacker girls start slapping and kickin them. and the guys push them away... Huge guy comes and decks him in the noes..

=D police and secrity stand around them all the time till they got in..

The Tuner for the band came out and helped...

    on his way back

"dont worry kids, thoes ****ers wont come back"

Yeah I did, where in the queue were you? I was kinda in between where the two fights were, closer to the smaller second one further back the line, I was in the red longsleeve standing outside.

I think the second night was a bit better, Crimson Door's my fave song on new album & poison heart was great, still first night had black sabbath.

The crowd on both nights were equally ****, seemed like most of it was couples who just wanted to hold each other rather than be at a rock gig.

Ville summed it up pretty well last night "Just so you know, you are allowed to be louder"

Anyone know the name of the supporting band? They were ok.

Anathema. I didn't really like them.

And Tar, I was going to but didn't have any change on me.

Yeah there was a guy beside us eating his girlfriend's face off. And that was with my 12 year old sister there (no she's not a little emo kid, I would kill her if she was), and then a guy lit up a joint beside her. She's innocent, we had to explain that it wasn't a cigarette to her.

Poison Heart was savage. Out of the 5 of us who were there, only my older sister, younger sister and I knew it.

i was at the front towards the right, right in front of linde. was a great performance all round, and its a pity there were so many people there who didnt even like HIM, but were there anyway!
anyone see the 2 girls scrapping over ville's sweaty towel?

So why all the hating on Anathema? Did they just play a ****ty set or did none of you know of "A Fine Day to Exit" an album comparable to "OK Computer" in terms of sheer brilliance?

In all fairness, they weren't HIM. I went to see HIM, not Anathema. Same way I didn't like the Kings of Leon because I went to see The Pixies, I usually like the KoL

there first two tracks were nice and heavy, i really enjoyed them! then they did this techno song and it lasted for about 7 minutes, it sucked big time. then they had an ok song or 2 and then the one with the girl sucked majorly!

but as you said people wanted HIM and even in bewteen the songs chanting 'we want HIM we want HIM', summed it up pretty much!

Anathema's cover of Hurt was pretty cool. Some emo kids shouted "wow Johnny Cash" when they started playing it and I just turned around and shouted "Nine Inch Nails" at them. There were far too many loved up teenagers who knew nothing of pre-Love Metal songs at it which really annoyed me. I would like to see them play an over 18s gig cos the crowd were complete retards.
Anyway the second night was better than the first IMO, although the Black Sabbath cover on the first night was so ****ing cool.

I have a video of the Sabbath Tribute and when he throws the stand at Gas, and when burton goes ofstage. ill put it up later,

any update on that? Nightwish you mentioned the over 18s gig, I previously would have argued with you as it's ageist & I used to be under 18/ BUT AFTER THAT CROWD I almost hope they'd lose so many fans they could ONLY play The Village where alcohol is enforced & the ID becomes more powerful!

Anyone think Ville seemed *really* ****ed the first night? I unfortunately couldn't help but notice a slight physical resemblence to Pete Doherty. Though looked much better the second night.

I nearly went to this - but I would only have been going to see Anathema, who are in my opinion a far superior band to HIM and all of the rubbish hype that's been surrounding them, and the fact that most in this thread didn't even bother with them says it all.......if you don't check out the supports you are missing out on a lot of worthwhile music, it's often a good way of seeing a different style of music or an up and coming band.........anyway, I don't particularly like HIM so I turned down the ticket, let someone more into them go instead..........from the people here that are really into them sounds like it'd be better if they lost the image they currently have and got to play somewhere with a better atmosphere, I'm sure they'll be back soon, good money being made here.......
