    Its good spec for the money allright. A good all rounder with no corners cut. You'd be hard pressed to match that with other manfactures. If you want to know for sure, why not have a look at dell.ie, and pcworld.ie (or your local PCworld), and compare like with like. Pick a laptop with similar specs (you wont get one exactly the same).

    Features I like on it: dual layer +-rw, 80GB drive, 1.7 Centrino.

    That laptop would be excellent for the majority of computer users.

    For my own needs I would get a laptop with more memory (you could upgrade later) and better graphics (not upgradeable) but you would be looking at €1500+. It all depends on what you need it for and how much you can stretch to.

    Thanks for the reply, it's a mid range laptop I'm looking to get as I have a pc already and I'll certainly be doing a lot of research on different brands before settling on one.

    I would think that a dell core duo e.g. 6400 might have a better spec/price.
