    Hi All

I have a telephone line at home and I use dial up for internet. I am interested to switch to another company. I am wondering if there is any web site ( there is one web site which only gives mobile info www.callcosts.ie ) in which I can compare where to switch to.

Also any body can recommend me a telephone company. My options
    1. Only calling friends after 6 pm
    2. dial up internet access

    Thanks a lot

UTV offer free Ireland and UK landline calls off-peak..i.e. after 6pm and weekends. I've had this for a couple of years and never had a problem.

www.comreg.ie has a wide range of good info including all the different phone companies that can provide a phone line.

Am with smart telecom, only 11 quid dearer than renting a phone line and I get broadband, 3mb speed. Think it's free to call other smart customers after 6.

am a happy camper with smart!

If you're making most of your calls after 6 go with UTV.They have free national and local calls and calls to uk free after 6 and at weekends and if you find a local or national dial up number for your internet your laughing.I am with them now for about 18 months and can't complain.

just a quick question on this.... I have free all day local and national calls with my supplier and use dial up (no BB in my area yet!)

can I get free dial up if i find a local dial up connection number to connect to (my area is 046) or will my supplier suss it out?

(my dial up is currently dialing a 1890 number, so i am charged 1890 rates)

    Thanks!

    **Update**

    okay,

I am with euphoney, so i thought i would get away with dialing up to a local number for the internet for free, as all local calls are free....

Checked the bill that arrived today and they charged for the local call to dialup!

Feck! I thought i had a cunning plan there!
