Parallel Printer to USB port

    Friend of mine got a new laptop that doesn't have a parallel port. Doesn't want to buy a new printer so anyone know if I can get a parallel to usb adapter and more importantly where can I get one quickly and cheaply?

    You can (A lot of the newer laptops with 'printer ports' are actually a parallel connector <-> USB).
    Quickly: PC World or Maplins.
    Cheaply: Online, and not PC World or Maplins.

    Good stuff.
    Just found a couple of cables on ebay. Might see how soon he needs it. If he can wait a few days, might save him a few bob by getting it there.
