    It installs a pure kernel mode file system driver Ext2fs.sys, which actually extends the Windows NT/2000/XP operating system to include the Ext2 file system.
    That's what worries me the most. The potential for misuse (even by someone other than these authors) is enormous.

    I've used it. I installed it and it worked great, until I rebooted. For some reason ever since I powered off the machine whenever I try to use it to mount my ext(n) partitions windows completely locks up. Avoid this!

    I've used this one for accessing reiserfs and never had any problem. It doesn't install a driver, but uses rfstool, which knows the layout of a reiserfs partition.
