The Arts Offices of Dundalk Town Council and Drogheda Borough Council are please to announce two recitals by world-renowned pianist Joanna MacGregor.
Joanna MacGregor has agreed to play two exclusive performances in Dundalk and Drogheda, Co.Louth. The recitals promise to be unique events with MacGregor performing an eclectic programme of music ranging from the genius of Bach's Goldberg Variations to a musical journey from spirituals and New Orleans music to South American tangos.

    Programme
Traditional arr. MacGregor 'Lost Highway': gospel music & spirituals
    Piazzolla arr. MacGregor Six Tangos
    Bach Goldberg Variations, BWV 988

In accepting the invitation to play in County Louth, Joanna MacGregor said 'I'm delighted to be coming back to play in Ireland, one of my favourite countries, and to perform for some of the warmest audiences...... This programme represents something of a journey for me: from the challenges of Bach's great variations, to music from the Mississippi Delta, inspired by my road trips across the Southern States; and finally tangos learnt from close colleagues of (another personal journey) the Argentinian master Astor Piazzolla.'
