What was the name of this film?

This is a film i seen maybe 20 years ago i can't remember when it was. anyway, what i can remember is there was these astronauts who where going to the moon and one of the astronauts looked at the sun a it gave him mad special powers, like he could run real fast.

Any ideas?

thanks ~Rebel~, can't really think of anything more, other than he turned into a superhero type, with powers etc after he looked into the sun and was brought back to earth, i think he was in a hospital when he came back, he recovered and had these powers.

that's all i remember.

I remember that film. Every time he saw the colour red, he lost his powers. There was a big final battle in an observatory. Man, I can't think of the bloody name!

I would have thought that looking directly into the sun in outer space would make you go blind... but apparently it gives you super powers... you learn something new every day.

No, that was a forensic scientist being hit by lightning and falling into chemicals. For some reason I keep thinking of the name Super Trooper, but that could be stupidity kicking in.

I remember one film from the 80's and it had a bunch of people with powers like telekinesis and lightning and stuff.

No it was an astronaut who goes on a space walk outside his ship. There's an eclipse of some sort and his visor malfunctions or something and the sun light hits him. He's brought back to earth and then starts to notice he has these weird powers. I remember one part where he walks on water at a beach. But a woman appears in a red bikini and when he sees red, he loses his powers, so he plunges into the water and almost drowns.

Monkey, are you thinking of the Misfits of Science? A tv show with a group of people get superpowers and fight crime. Courtney Cox is in it and is psychic, Dean Martin's son shoots electricity out of his hands and the guy who played Predator and Alien could grow and shrink at will.

It's actually "The Greatest American Hero" and the description sounds nothing like it. Twas a great show tho.

Yes Misfits of Science... it wasn't as great as it sounds... but it is a very long time since I've seen it.

Cox must have been very young in that.. was that even before her appearence in the Bruce Sprinsting video?

The film is Super Snooper, with Terence Hill (without Bud Spencer).
I loved it too, although it couldn't possibly be as great now. (could it?)

oooh... I was just thinking about another film I seen many years ago...

This family had just got big huge fancy satelite dish installed and it gets struck by some alien ray from outer space... the parents were having some sort of sexy evening with another couple... and no believed the kid when he was trying to tell people that aliens were invading. I remember there was a good alien trying to communicate with them through the TV but no one was listening to him... and there was a scene with lots of funky goo in a swiming pool.

Anyone remember this one? It was 80's as well.
