Ok I have 3 harddrives in my pc

    1. 250Gb 8Mb Buffer SATA2
    2. 300Gb 16Mb Buffer SATA
    3. 250Gb 8Mb Buffer SATA2

OS is on 1 with the 1.5Gb page file

System has 2Gb of 533mhz RAM

What i want to know is which drive should i move the page file onto 2 or 3 or both (which disc is more suited or will it make a difference)?

    2. is basically an archive disc

    3. actually isnt installed but will be soon.

i'd stick it on 2 as that should be the fastest drive. i also have 3 drives 1= 36 g wd raptor as c drive,2= ibm 20g backup drive and 3=250g wd sata2 which is my music , email and general stuff drive and i have my pagefile on there as well.i have 2 gigs of ram so i made the pagefile the same size.

Doesn't really make a difference, to quote from DiverGuru who really knows his stuff and the internals of Windows.
The importance of pagefile placement, defragmentation, etc., is very widely overstated. Unless you are severely constrained on RAM I doubt you'll notice any difference. Put it wherever it makes you feel best. Me, I'd probably just leave it wherever the OS put it.

With 2GB of RAM you shouldn't be overly concerned about the OS hitting the page file to often.

I'm not really that concerned just wondering if the buffer or throughput is a better option as far as the page file goes. Was thinking the buffer would be more important myself. :)

    I'll prob throw a 2gb file on drive 2.
