Jaysus u must be desperate if ur going on that heap of junk. 8 hours u could probably swim it in 10! Look up Seacat they do a ferry over there in 4 hours, bar and all on board was cheap when i got tickets for it a couple of years ago, 30 return or less i think

Faster yes. Cheaper only on certain dates with advance booking. Close to travel there can be a huge hike in air fares.

Dublin-Liverpool this Friday returning Sunday by Ryanair: Cheapest possible €200 return + credit card fee, Highest cost flights €300 return + credit card fee.

Seacat don't do Dublin-Liverpool anymore, in fact the company is gone completely.

    P&O Dublin-Liverpool don't take foot passengers.

Norfolk Line/Norse Merchant do 2 return sailings a day, 8 hour trip and they take foot passengers.

Cheapest is around €66 for day sailings or €95 for night sailings (5 day return) More expensive for longer than 5 day return.

It can be cheaper and is faster (4.5-6 hours depending on fast/conventional ferry and rail connections) to go Dublin/Dun Laoghaire-Holyhead and train to Liverpool.

It is €66 return to Liverpool via any Holyhead ferry at any time.
