What to look for in a driver?

I played a bit a few years back but never really had a proper swing though I always managed to do alright. Looking to get back into it and will get lessons to get a proper swing so I'm gonna buy a new set of clubs, but am wondering what should I look for in a driver?

I'm 6ft stocky upper body can hit a 3 iron quite far but lack of technique meant I rarely used the driver. What angle degree should I go for (9?) and what flex on the shaft should I look for?

    Thanks.

It Really depends on the speed of your swing, and the angle you come into the ball at. 9' drivers tend to be a bit less forgiving than the traditional 10.5'. Stiff shafts tend to favour the quicker swing.

Investing in a driver can be an expensive business. My advice is to go to a club pro. Spend €25 on a lesson, and then get his reccomendations.

as above, then go to one of the shops that lets you hit a variety before you buy, mcguirks in celbridge or golfworks in spawell are 2 that do..

as the above have said it all depends on your swing!
have a few lessons and get your swing sorted cos there could be drastic changes made to your swing so you'd be better off getting comfortable with the new changes swing and then ask the pro to recommend a club for you!

    good luck.
